Smooth leather, suede or canvas?

The choice of material depends above all on how you use it. A smooth leather tote bag, like the Gia tote, holds its clean lines and, with its zip fastening, is well suited to the working week. Suede, softer and more matte, takes on a gently slouched shape when carried, giving the bag a more relaxed feel. In canvas, alone or paired with leather, the tote bag feels lighter without losing its shape. Tote bag or tote: what’s the difference?

The two terms are often used interchangeably. A Tote bag usually refers to a soft, unstructured canvas bag with slim handles, while a tote can be made of leather, with a wider base and enough structure to stand upright when set down.
